  The aim of the evaluation study Complementarity and synergy of projects implemented on the
  territory of Eastern Poland under Operational Programmes of the Cohesion Policy and the Rural
  Development Programme 2007-2013 in the context of priorities of the Strategy for socio-economic development of Eastern Poland until 2020 was to find answers to three key research
  questions:
• How to define complementarity and synergy?
• What is the actual state of implementing the principle of complementarity with relation to
  Operational Programmes for 2007-2013?
• What mechanisms for ensuring complementarity can be used? – suggestions and recommendations

  In the life of every person there are times of more or less important limitations. You do not have to be a disabled person using a wheelchair to appreciate the lack of architectural barriers ‐ all you have to do is travel with two small children, a pram and try to do shopping at the same time. Just imagine breaking a leg and having to use crutches. Even things that are easily accessible at the moment, may become, in a few years time, a barrier difficult to surmount. That is why, abiding by the principle of equal opportunities is not only in the interest of individual social groups but practically – each and every one of us.
  
  
• Evaluation research of indicators of the Operational Programme Development of Eastern Poland. Summary (154 KB)
  

  The purpose of the research was to assess the adequacy of selected indicators measuring achievement of objectives of the Development of Eastern Poland Operational Programme as well as to verify their assumed target values by drawing up forecasts of the values of indicators for the years 2013 and 2015. This purpose has been achieved by the following research elements:

• assessment of the adequacy of indicators, including proposing new indicators in case of their negative evaluation;

• verification of target values in view of their consistency with SMART criteria;

• drawing up forecasts of indicators for the years 2013 and 2015.
  
  

• Evaluation research of monitoring questionnaires  of the Operational Programme Development of Eastern Poland. Summary (2510 KB)
  The principal aim of the study is to assess the monitoring questionnaires of Operational Program: Eastern Poland Development (OP EPD) in terms of their usefulness for the Managing Authority, Intermediate Body of EPD Program in relation to the adequacy of existing reporting and analytical needs, and effectiveness and efficiency evaluation of a single questionnaire and within the system. Various research techniques have been used: data analysis (desk research), IDI (Individual In-Depth Interview), ITI (Individual Telephone Interview). The representatives of Managing Authority, Intermediate Body and the Beneficiaries of 22 projects took part in the interviews.
