Description
Plantalux is a Lublin start-up company that technologically supports the plant growth under greenhouses. The company's project is to start production and to place the luminaries, which are intended to enlighten plants (vegetables, fruits, flowers) in greenhouses, on the market. Ultimately, the lamp will cooperate with the application supporting its operation as well as with the number of external sensors (dampness, temperature, carbon dioxide, insolation) in order to optimise the plant growth. Three types of high-performance LEDs in the COB technology (so called multi-coupling LEDs) were used as the light sources. The combination of high-performance and energy-efficient COB LEDs together with the application and external sensors will allow to select the optimum parameters for plant breeding. It will allow the greater control concerning the duration of growth, the planning of harvest as well as the automation of the process and, at the same time, the minimization of energy consumption and human labour.
